Description:: The FS5000 Jitterlyzer performs physical layer serial bus jitter evaluation. It can inject controlled jitter and measure the characteristics of incoming jitter. When teamed with a protocol analyzer, it can correlate these measurements with protocol analysis. The benefits of this low-cost solution are numerous. Physical-layer tests can be performed while the system under test is processing live bus traffic. Fixturing is included and correlations between physical layer signal integrity problems and protocol failures can now be made quickly and cost-effectively.

The FS5000 Jitterlyzer can be used by itself or with one of these FuturePlus products:

* FS4410 Serial Rapid IO Protocol Analysis Probe - for Agilent logic analyzers
* FS4415 Serial Rapid IO Protocol Preprocessor - for Tektronix logic analyzers

The Jitterlyzer also can be used with virtually any protocol analyzer that can connect to the instrument's industry-standard connectorless footprint.
