Xilinx Spartan® FPGAs are ideal for low-cost, high volume applications and are managing costs throughout the product life cycle. The newest Spartan-IIE family offers the silicon, the development tools, and the intellectual property to quickly design low-cost, next-generation consumer digital convergence products. Spartan-IIE FPGAs provide flexibility, density, connectivity, performance, and IP to give designers ASIC-like system integration capabilities with all of the extra benefits of a cost-optimized reprogrammable solution. Spartan-II E FPGAs are available in densities ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 system gates.

The Spartan-IIE family, operating at 1.8 volts and supporting performance up to 200 MHz, offers some of the most advanced FPGA technologies available today. Among the devices' features are programmable support for up to 19 multiple I/O standards, including LVDS and LVPECL, on-chip block and distributed RAM, and four digital delay lock loops for both chip-level and board-level clock management. The Spartan product line also includes versions that operate at 2.5 volts, 3.3 volts, and 5 volts.
