RapidIO Training From TechOnLine The RapidIO Trade Association (TA) recently concluded negotiations for a one year "marketing relationship" with web training provider TechOnLine (TOL). Basically TOL will provide the TA with a presence on their site www.techonline.com and one RapidIO-centric webcast event, produced with help from TOL, in exchange for TOL presence on www.RapidIO.org and TOL exposure to the TA membership. We've limited that exposure so our members (at our face-to-face meetings) will have the chance to meet TechOnLine but not be deluged or even dampened by traffic from TOL. TOL also sees great value to their collected audience (which exceeds 100,000 members) in having RapidIO Technology available directly on their site and in their content. The net result will be very positive for the TA, giving us a good training venue and expanded web presence. We gain added marketplace stature from the association with a vendor to the stars, so to speak.An intriguing part of the deal is the chance for TA members to stage webcasts related to RapidIO at a discount. For example, if several vendors in the TA had some common message to project, and could agree on a format and find a mutual spokesperson, we could have TOL help produce a "Webcast Series" and share the discounted cost among those members.
