Supercomm Preview; Freescale Technology Forum

Be sure to stop by the RapidIO Trade Association Booth 87021 at Supercomm, June 7 through 9, 2005 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The booth will feature the QNX RapidIO demonstration which compares the performance achievable over both RapidIO technology and Gigabit Ethernet. Using the STx RapidIO development system and QNX distributed processing capability, the demo will show maximum application bandwidth between two RapidIO-based Freescale MPC8560 PowerQUICC(TM) III processors using the Tundra TSI500 RIO switch as well as Gigabit Ethernet using the GigE ports on the MPC8560. This demonstration will also show the maximum raw bandwidth achievable with RapidIO technology.

Freescale Technology Forum:

The RapidIO Trade Association will have a booth at the upcoming Freescale Technology Forum the week of June 20. RapidIO highlights for this event will include a RapidIO panel on Monday, June 20, moderated by RTA executive director Iain Scott. The panel will provide insights into all aspects of RapidIO development and deployment. Perspectives will be shared on the progress of the standard from the point of view of chip vendors, software vendors, systems providers and industry analysts.
